revival brand identity

Revival Restaurant & Bar

Set in Sacramento’s new Downtown Commons, atop Kimpton Hotel Sawyer, Revival Bar & Lounge boasts expansive views of the ever-changing landscape below, including the Sacramento Kings new Golden 1 Center. With a location that positions it as a social destination for pre- and post-entertainment cocktails, new brand work for Revival plays up this conviviality, with a rhythmic identity that works whether the sun is up or down.

Brand in Motion

Centered around craft cocktails and nightly live music, the ID leverages the sleek and lively environment of the indoor-outdoor social space, with simple, custom letterforms of repeating geometric patterns. It’s musical in nature, and streamlined with a contemporary edge, while representing the bar’s lounge-like ambience and energetic pulse.

Setting the Right Cadence

Collateral accentuates interior design, where brass fixtures, warm woods, and dark leather complement a four-color brand palette in similar tones. A custom, signature pattern is used throughout materials, reminiscent of one of the bar’s prominent fixtures, adding a textured element for visual contrast and a subtle touch of extravagance. Across business cards, check presenter, menus, and a (lengthy) bar book, the system adds a polish to the nightclub scene, elevating Revival to a headlining destination in its own right.

Digital Arrangement

Taken digitally, Revival’s microsite evokes movement upon landing, with a record cinemagraph set in the brand’s dual tones. Embellished with the same linework seen in collateral, the site is an introduction to not only Revival, but to Sacramento’s new downtown, where above the city’s bustle, the opulence of private cabanas, craft cocktails, and poolside bottle service await. Perhaps it’s really all the entertainment one needs.
