Fine Design Group Sets Sights on Portland

PORTLAND, OREGON - FINE Design Group, a full-service West coast design and communications firm with a worldwide network of clients and collaborators, will officially open for business in Portland beginning April, 2007.
"We’ve been in Portland for a while – some of our longest-standing and best employees already live and work here and we have clients in the Pacific Northwest,” says Kenn Fine, Founder and Creative Director. “We actually followed our employees here, and now we have an office to make our presence official.”
FINE’s origins are in the San Francisco Bay Area. But in recent years, staff began a steady migration north, and recruited some of the natives they found there among the growing Portland talent pool of designers and coders. The company also works with talented collaborators as far away as Spain and Germany.
“We take a very personal approach to doing great work,” says Steve Fine, Principal. “We are especially excited to officially join Portland’s creative and technology community.”
The award-winning firm has gained notoriety for combining technology and strategy capabilities with traditional design expertise to help clients differentiate and dramatize their brands through web, print, and corporate identity projects. FINE clients are leaders in industries like Luxury Travel and Hospitality (Ritz-Carlton, Coppola Resorts), Wine and Spirits (Foster’s Group, Sutter Home), and Technology (Covad, Symantec, Hitachi).
“The amount of creative and technology talent to be found in Portland is staggering,” says Josh Kelly, Principal. “Most people think you open new offices to find clients. We’re here just as much to keep and find great employees and collaborators.”
