One of Napa's Original Wineries Takes a Digital Leap Forward

If you’re one of the few to visit the Stags’ Leap Manor House, you’ll be surrounded by Napa history and the terroir that made a sleepy valley a worldwide center of wine culture. If not, spend a few minutes on their website.

The property was named “Stags’ Leap” after an old Indian legend that, one version says, told of a stag leaping across crags of the palisades (bordering the east side of the estate) to escape hunters. Some designs are only as good as the imagery they house. This site heavily leverages custom imagery of the property to transport you to this mythical location.

The site takes a traditional, classical brand and puts a modern face on it, folding together the winery’s past with contemporary culture and originality. The unique navigation banner, with its classic styling, remains a constant as the dramatic imagery changes behind it.

This often imitated, never completely duplicated site remains a wine industry standard for website excellence.
